Bungoma Governor Kenneth Lusaka has said Senator Moses Wetangula’s dream of becoming Kenya’s president is far fetched and can only happen in a dreamland.
The outspoken governor urged the Senator to stop confusing the electorate from the Western region.
Speaking at Mayuba Stadium in Sirisia constituency during a funds drive, Lusaka told Wetangula to stop building castle in the air in broad day light and join the winning Jubilee team.
According to Lusaka there is no way Coalition for Reforms and Democracy (Cord) leader Raila Odinga will let him become the presidential flag bearer.
He called on Wetangula to join Jubilee before the next general elections.
“We are politely asking our brother to cross over from the opposition and join Jubilee, which will make the next government because there is no future for him in Cord,” he said as quoted by the Star.
Lusaka said he and Amani National Coalition (ANC) leader Musalia Mudavadi once followed the same path but failed terribly.
“We once tried that middle path with Musalia Mudavadi’s Amani and we failed. We would not like a repeat of that,” he said.
The outspoken governor also said Western residents are tired of being in the opposition.
“We are at the centre of Jubilee, which is going to form the next government and we want our people to be part of it,” he said.
