Nakuru County deputy Governor Joseph Rutto has called on residents to avoid using different social media platforms in expressing their dissatisfaction on various issues.
Speaking in Gilgil town after Governor Kinuthia Mbugua's entourage made a stop over en route to the sub-county headquarters for the eighth chapter of the Gavana Mtaani programme, the DG regretted the fact that some groups were airing nasty and sensitive issues on social media, some of which are even never confirmed.
Rutto noted that their administration had adopted an open-door policy and is always ready and available to receive them and attend to their grievances.
"We are in Gilgil today to mingle with you, listen to your problems and see how best we can help each other using available resources. We are committed to serving you and we feel bad when some of you attack us as if we are not giving our best," he added.
He further called on leaders to join hands with them (him and the governor) in ensuring that Nakuru becomes a business hub in the region.
Together with the governor and other senior county officials, they pitched camp in Gilgil sub-county in the ongoing series of county outreach programme that has so far been to seven sub-counties.
