After days, weeks, and months of consultations, Bomet governor Isaac Ruto has entered an agreement, to back the National Super Alliance (Nasa).
The coalition comprises of Raila Odinga's ODM party, Musalia Mudavadi's ANC, Kalonzo Musyoka's Wiper and Moses Wetangula's Ford Kenya.
Ruto, who is the founder of the Chama Cha Mashinani (CCM) party, said his party would support the coalition, in quest to takeover as Kenya's fifth government.
He decamped Jubilee leadership to form his own party, citing incompetence, corruption and lack of development agenda.
The Star reports that the Bomet county boss announced his support for the Raila team, during an interview on vernacular Kalenjin radio station, Taach FM, Tuesday.
He said it was time for the Kalenjin community to 'forgive' Raila, and back his political career. (It is not yet clear what Raila did, so as to be forgiven).
In the August 8 polls, CCM will field candidates in most parts of the Rift Valley, including Narok, Bomet, Nakuru, and Kericho.
