The National Super Alliance (NASA) is likely to fight for the removal of Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) Wafula Chebukati if the court overturns President Uhuru Kenyatta’s win.
NASA Presidential candidate Raila Amolo Odinga and his running mate Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka have maintained that President Uhuru Kenyatta did not win fairly.
The duo will not be prepared to go to another election if Chebukati will remain in office. The opposition has challenged the Supreme Court to redeem itself or kill democracy.
During the hearing of the Presidential petition, NASA accused the electoral body of colluding with Jubilee to ensure that Raila does not ascend to power.
The opposition also revisited the murder of IEBC ICT manager, Chris Msando in which the leaders played a clip to show how his demise was linked to the hacking of the electronic servers.
Through Lawyer Anthony Oluoch, the opposition questioned the reinstatement of James Muhati after the death of Msando yet he had issues of integrity surrounding him.
“Mr Muhati was suspended and Msando took over but he (Muhati) returned under unclear circumstances a few days before the killing. Our analysis confirms there were two parallel systems playing out at IEBC,” said Mr Oluoch, as quoted by Standard.
The opposition also cited forgery of different documents as one of the ways used to deny Raila victory.
