Wiper Party Leader Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka’s decision to present his Presidential nominations papers is already attracting mixed reactions from different parts of this nation.

Kalonzo’s political future lies in the National Super Alliance. If Kalonzo insists to walk away then this is what will happen to him;

To start with, Kalonzo will lose some supporters. There are voters who only see Kalonzo’s capability to lead this nation when he walks with Cord leader Raila Amolo Odinga. If Kalonzo decides to go solo then he will definitely lose their support.

Secondly, he should forget about Presidency.  It is not easy to rise to power in Kenya unless you team up with leaders from other communities. The Kikuyu and Kalenjin are already together, meaning Kalonzo is not likely get support from another community with numbers if he goes solo.

Thirdly, he will lose trust of other politicians.  It will difficult for the former vice president to partner with other politicians with the aim of rising to power. It has taken years for Kalonzo to prove that he is not a watermelon. Going alone will clearly show that he can never be trusted when it comes to matters of national interest.

The best thing Kalonzo should do at the moment is sticking with Raila to the end of the road.
