National Super Alliance (NASA) Presidential candidate Raila Amolo Odinga has been seen as the man to change this nation. According to his supporters, Raila is the man to restore the lost glory of this nation.
However, the much hype about a Raila’s government may end up being a disappointment to many Kenyans. The opposition leader will face endless challenges in the next five years of his leadership.
First and foremost, Raila has fewer Members of Parliament. President Uhuru Kenyatta once said that the Jubilee side will impeach Raila if he ascends to power. This is one of the nightmares that will start hunting Raila as soon as he rises to the presidency. The opposition leader will have to fight to tame the leaders who were backing the re-election of Uhuru and his Deputy William Amolo Odinga.
Secondly, Raila is carrying a bunch of corrupt leaders in his alliance. There are several leaders who have been linked to corruption-related activities in the past government. Raila is expected to weed out these leaders for better use of public resources. While weeding out the corrupt officials, Raila needs to be cautious in order for them not to turn against him.
