Cord Leader Raila Amolo Odinga’s rise to power has been marred with all sorts of challenges. The former prime minister is now welcoming every Tom and Harry to join the National Super Alliance (NASA) ahead of the August.
We are yet to here Raila has barred corrupt leaders from joining the alliance. The opposition leader will have a hard time weeding out corrupt leaders from his government if he ascends to power.
It will be an interesting twist of events to see the opposition leader firing all the corrupt leaders who are going to stand with him as he seeks to rise to power. The former prime minister has said that he will emulate the likes of Nelson Mandela.
The fact that Kenya is almost divided equally between the opposition and Jubilee, it will take sacrifice, selflessness and patriotism to change the lives of the common wananchi. It will not be shocking to hear a section of leaders calling for his impeachment if at all he will keep his word.
Raila has been on the forefront in the fight against corruption and other vices. However, we are not sure whether he will stick to his course once he reaches State House.
