Musyoka, who sought to defend the position as an Independent candidate after losing during Wiper nominations, has been missing in action.

During her reign, she was very vocal on matters affecting women, youths and other vulnerable groups.

She hit the headlines after telling President Uhuru Kenyatta to resign or commit suicide some time back.

Musyoka felt that the Jubilee regime had failed to deliver on its promises and it did not deserve to continue ruling the country.

During a past interview, Musyoka maintained that she is an advocated of women, persons with disabilities and children among other groups.

"I advocate for more women, youth, persons with disabilities be included at all levels of decision making and development. I would like to see a Country that respects the rule of law and involves all people especially women in all leadership activities," Musyoka said.

It remains unclear whether Musyoka is planning to stage a political comeback in 2022.

The five years in the cold are enough for the former lawmaker to decide whether she can give it a try or not.

Musyoka remains one of the most admired leaders in the Ukambani region.
