The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) says Uasin Gishu did exemplarily well in both polls.

Speaking during a courtesy visit to the county offices, the Electoral Commission, IEBC led by its chair Dr. Wafula Chebukati lauded Governor Jackson Mandago for the efforts put in ensuring the County conducted a peaceful election. Efforts, which, he said, resulted in no petition filed.

"Uasin Gishu is the only County with a record of no filed petition in all the seats," said Chebukati

"This definitely is a result of the organized systems put in place by all the aspirants before, during and after the polls," said the Chair.

Chebukati further lauded the County boss for the unique peace accord agreement signed prior the polls, adding that the commitment resulted in a successful process.

On his side, Mandago applauded the Commission on the efforts they put in place to ensure the two polls became successful, challenges notwithstanding.

"Despite the challenges you faced as a commission, you stood firm and made sure the elections were conducted in a free and fair manner", said Mandago.

"As a commission, you played a vital role in ensuring the country was peaceful. You put the country on the world map as one of the most organized nations".

Mandago further called on the commission to establish permanent offices across all the counties which he said will improve its operations.
