A last week's directive by President Uhuru Kenyatta that all public servants including himself and Deputy President William Ruto undergo a lifestyle audit has elicited mixed reactions among Kenyans from across the political divide.
For Eldoret locals, the backyard of DP Ruto, locals have also expressed their different view over the issue.
This is after a member of a local Facebook group, UASIN GISHU COUNTY FORUM, suggested that the president's directive was targeting the DP.
"Uhuru amekubali kufanyiwa life style audit, huo ni mtego kwa D.P. William Ruto a.k.a hustler, hiyo ni njama ya kummaliza politicaly...nani alimwambia aanze campaign mapema." posted Gladys Moraa, loosely translated as "the President has accepted to undergo lifestyle audit, that is a trap to DP Ruto and a plot to finish him politically...who told him o begin early campaigns."
The post lit the group and here are selected comments from the members;
