Who killed the power of comrades, remains a question that we haven't been able to find an answer to. Long and gone are the times when the KUSO boss, now Embakasi East MP Babu Owino, when comrade's power was a monster that commoners ran away from. Gone are the days when the effect of comrade's demonstrations was felt even overseas.

Welcome to the era of power-hungry comrades who's fantastic manifestos were and will never be in the best interest of comrades. We're living in an era where Student bodies are either exclusively broke or are being funded by unknown cartels.

This is the era where comrade's have to live under selected rather than elected leaders. This is the era when you'll hear comrades talk of a luminous future even if deep down they know that dream has been shattered. Now all you will hear are fights amongst ourselves.

Approaching the famous and most eyed KUSO elections, the tunes of student leaders and activists being arrested for no big reason has become local lyrics of an unwritten song.

A date is yet to be set for the KUSO elections, a venue yet to be decided, aspirants are silently campaigning.

Who will be the next KUSO boss? Will this be the start of another war among the student leaders? Will the new face of KUSO be the start of a revival for comrade power or yet another dead imbecile of a body?
