‎Opore has been accused of blackmailing locals by giving people cheap money but he has failed to initiate projects to benefit the people.

"Opore should stop cheating us that he has done development in Bonchari. For the 15 years, he has been in office, his development record is zero. Where is the airstrip renovation project he promised was to begin? Opore's political journey has reached the end he should be ready to pack and go," said Robert Nyakundi‎ a resident at Botoro in Bogiakumu ward.

"Opore had promised a tarmac road along Suneka- Asumbi route. He assured us the project was to start in August, we are almost ending September. Did he mean August 2017 or what did he mean by August?" Nicholas Basweti a trader at Suneka market.

Basweti said that Opore's leadership must be buried in 2017 for the constituency to develop.

"There are good leaders who have not been given the opportunity to change Bonchari. It is time to try someone else and see the development record he or she will bring to the people. Opore should know for the 15 years in office he has been serving individuals not the people of Bonchari," noted Ann Magoma.
