Speaking during Machakos Gubernatorial debate, the county boss said he engage in unnecessary wars with Wiper leaders including Members of the County Assembly because of his focus to transform the county

“I wasted a lot of years, which I could have gotten into business serving my people. I think I will engage more into dialogue with them; I will talk to them and maybe take them to a trip of two,” he said.

Mutua also said that he is confident of retaining power because he has a wonderful track record.

“I want you to tell me a governor who has built five highways in his county just like in Machakos. I want to know a governor who has built a quality Stadium in his county just like the Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos. Tell me a governor who has dug more than 100 dams in this four-year-period if not Mutua?” said the governor, as quoted by Nation.

The governor is set to lock horns with Former Kathaini MP Wavinya Ndeti and Deputy Governor Bernard Kiala.
