Raila has come out openly to declare that on 12th December, as the sun's rays hit our forehead, the people will have declared him their President in an assembly of citizens.
Raila seems to be serious with his new move and has even declared that they will march to statehouse after that.
He seems to have abandoned his earlier mission to Canaan to concentrate on the easier journey to State House!
Kalonzo Musyoka, his Deputy, has however been missing in action. He is said to be in German to take care of his ailing wife and has not been seen in public of late.
It is not clear whether Raila has involved the other Principals on the new move to swear himself in.
The questions remain: Will Kalonzo buy Raila's move to be sworn-in on December 12? What if he does not buy the idea? Will Raila's "swearing-in" be legitimate now that his running will not be part of the ceremony?
Interesting times lie ahead. We have already seen Musalia's camp trying to disassociate itself with NASA over EALA slot issues and select committee membership.
The coast region is already showing dissent on the same issues mentioned above. They feel sidelined by NASA and have u threatened to decamp.
Raila must be worried of his political legacy and should not carry any move that is likely to hurt him.
