President Uhuru Kenyatta's landslide victory in the presidential repeat poll has yet again dominated international headlines, with now a sharp focus on call for dialogue.

In an election only 38 percent of registered voters turned up for voting, Uhuru managed 98 percent win partly because his main challenger Raila Odinga had bolted out.

Britain's Guardian under the headline "Kenya president declared winner of disputed rerun" indicated that the outcome now depends on Odinga's next move.

"His victory could have a myriad of challenges and much now depends on veteran opposition leader Raila Odinga who has rejected the recent poll as a sham,' wrote the paper.

But Daily Mail ran the headline "Uhuru Kenyatta reelected in an widely boycotted poll" adding that the process could be subject to legal battle.

"Despite his landslide victory, observers say that the result is likely to face a host of new legal challenges, a fact acknowledged by Kenyatta himself," said the paper.

British Broadcasting Cooperation  reported that Kenyatta was elected in a disputed poll, revisiting IEBC chairman Wafula Chebukati's previous sentiments that he is unable to conduct free and fair polls.

Although it is not immediate clear what steps opposition will take, it however has numerous options from which they will chose.
