We are faced with many big and small decisions quite often.

Whether it's deciding what to eat, what to wear or where to get money to fix your car, they are important to your daily function.

Decision-making is fairly easy for most people. However, there are difficult decisions that literally drain you.

No level of intelligence, cleverness, wit, research or wisdom seems to crack the hard nut.

There are things you can do to make extremely hard decisions a little lighter. Collect as many facts as you can about the area of concern.

If it's a business deal, gather all the information you can about it.

Get the facts, opinions, and hearsay about the area of interest. Try to narrow down on what best suits you. If you're looking for a workout routine, try to identify one that gives the results within your target. If you're going for a lean body, you might choose something different from one trying to add some mass. Figure out if the risk of doing 'a' is more than the risk of doing 'b'.

What has higher risk and what has higher returns?

If you're thinking of leaving your company for another, first try and identify if the challenges in the prospective company can weigh you down even more than your current company. It's not always about the pay cheque, even the way they treat their employees will have a large effect on you. Two minds are better than one so you can always seek opinions from others.

Be careful to only seek opinions from people who portray a certain level of capability.
