Mombasa County Executive in charge of Trade, Tourism and Investment Fawz Rashid signed an MoU with Let's Do It World Foundation to partner on a major environmental clean up in Mombasa.
The foundation has conducted comprehensive clean up exercises in over 130 countries across the globe over the past 10 years.
Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho, while speaking in the Republic of Estonia, said "together we are organising one of the most comprehensive, inclusive and effective clean up exercise."
He noted that the County Government of Mombasa is also partnering with the Let's Do it World Foundation's Leadership Institute to facilitate knowledge and skills transfer of world best practices in environmental management.
He was speaking on Saturday following his three-day official tour of Estonia accompanied by several CeCs.
On Friday, Joho toured the office of the Prime Minister of Estonia where he learned that the cabinet in Estonia is the first to implement e-Cabinet work ethic, which has made it the most efficient in the execution of its duties, with the cabinet sessions lasting an average of 30 minutes.
"Looking forward to implement e-Governance in the County Government of Mombasa to further improve on efficiency in service delivery and enhance effectiveness and reach of public participation platforms," he said.
