Days after Governor Ali Hassan Joho welcomed President Uhuru Kenyatta to Mombasa County, the president is on Thursday (today) honouring the invitation.
Joho who has been a strong critic of Kenyatta, recently inivited him to the county during a meeting with KANU chairman, Baringo senator Gideon Moi on May 31.
Joho said days of political enmity were over after Kenyatta reconciled with former Prime Minister Raila Odinga, Joho's party leader on March 9.
Hosted by the ODM governor, Uhuru is schedule to commission the newly constructed Miritini-Mwache-Kipevu Link Road, Package 1 of Mombasa Port Area Road Development Project (MPARD) also known as Dongo Kundu Bypass at Miritini Interchange (Bonje Area), in Mombasa County.
Uhru will later join Joho in marking end of Ramadhan for the Muslim community ahead of Friday's, June 15, holiday - Idd-Ul-Fitr.
There meeting will be the first public meeting after golden handshake between Kenyatta and Raila.
Joho had vowed to give Kenyatta's administration sleepless nights saying it was an illegitimate government.
