Deputy President William Ruto has responded to claims that together with President Uhuru Kenyatta they threatened the Supreme Court after the nullification of the August 8 presidential poll.

Uhuru and Ruto have repeatedly claimed that they will revisit the decision made by the Supreme Court if they win the October 17 repeat polls.

However, Ruto said they have not threatened anybody at the highest court in the land but all they meant is seeking for a room to vindicate themselves that the decision by Maraga's team was not proper.

Apart from vindication Ruto said all they want is a recount of the votes because they believe by so doing the real will of the Kenyan voter will be demonstrated.

"When we say we will revisit the matter, we mean we would want to recount the votes. This is because we are convinced we won the elections fair and square," he said.

DP Ruto was speaking on Citizen TV on Sunday night.
