[Photo|PSCU]MPs elected through President Uhuru Kenyatta's Jubilee Party have planned to defend senior officials at the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission, following demands by the NASA coalition, to have the removed from Office.Led by National Assembly Majority Leader, Aden Duale, the lawmakers accused Nasa presidential candidate Raila Odinga and his team of witch-hunting IEBC bosses, especially the Secretariat whose leader is CEO Ezra Chiloba and the ICT department under James Muhati. He, alongside Mumias East lawmaker Benjamin Washiali linked the 'witch-hunt' to community issues, saying Odinga ensure former IEBC chairman Issack Hassan and his team, were ejected, and he had now started more attacks against top officials from their community.Duale was referring to IEBC commissioners Abdi Guliye and Boya Molu. He spoke Wednesday, while his colleagues addressed the press, Friday. On their part, Washiali, Bernard Shinali (Ikolomani), Daniel Wanyama (Webuye West), and Didmus Barasa (Kimilili) alleged that IEBC chairman Wafula Chebukati, Chiloba and Muhati were being targeted because of their surnames."The malicious and selective mob lynching by Nasa targeting IEBC members from the Western region is unacceptable. While Raila Odinga is defending his own tribesmen, Wetangula and Musalia are being used to roast their own," Barasa said. This even as six Nasa MPs, Siaya Senator James Orengo, Ugunja MP Opiyo Wandayi, Rarieda MP Otiende Amollo, Siaya Woman Representative Christine Ombaka, Alago Usonga MP Samuel Atandi, and former Bondo MP Oburu Odinga, vowed to eject Chiloba from Office if he would leave, by Monday September 18.
