Speaking on Citizen TV on Wednesday morning, the former ODM secretary general said they agreed with the President that Jubilee will incorporate LPK’s agenda in the event Uhuru wins the August 8 general election.
Namwamba said that his party’s main agenda is to address the challenges faced by workers in the country.
“We want to see him (Uhuru) incorporate the agenda of Labour party in the next government. We believe that workers in this country can be treated better,” he said.

On whether he was promised any cabinet slot, the lawmaker said, “this would not be the best platform to make public any deal Labour party struck with Jubilee. This will be made public at an appropriate time,” Namwamba said during the interview.
The MP said if he wanted a cabinet slot, he would not have defended his Budalang’I parliamentary seat.
Namwamba said that in case he is offered a cabinet slot, the Labour party will procedurally identify the ideal candidate for the position on the table.
The MP who has been hitting out at the opposition, said his main focus is to ensure Uhuru beats Raila come August 8.
