Former Kiambu Governor William Kabogo has sent a congratulatory message to President Uhuru Kenyatta after his meeting with NASA leader Raila Odinga at his Harambee house office in Nairobi on Friday.
According to Kabogo, the Head of State proved he was a true statesman by meeting the opposition leader Raila Odinga for the sake of uniting the country following the divisive 2017 poll.
"Well done Mr. president. You’ve vindicated me. You’re a true nationalist. I said My Prezo will do it at his own time," Kabogo wrote on his Twitter account.
The ex-governor urged politicians to emulate President Uhuru and Raila Odinga.
"Politicians should learn the importance of unity, peace and harmony. NASA and Jubilee leaders should drop hard political stand and focus on service delivery to improve the economy of the country," said Kabogo.
Kabogo said critics should stop politicking about Raila's move to meet with President Uhuru.
"Critics should not play politics about the meeting between the two top leaders in the country. NASA co-principals should accept what was discussed and move on to wait 2022 to contest," he added.
