Mbai says supporting Uhuru’s administration is what Kalonzo and other opposition politicians should do after NASA leader Raila Odinga met with the president and vowed to work together.

Speaking in Kitui town on Sunday, Mbai asked Kalonzo and other NASA co-principals  to stop sitting on the fence and instead support Jubilee's development agenda.

He said Kalonzo, Musalia Mudavadi and Moses Wetangula stand to gain nothing if they continue fence sitting.

“Kalonzo should emulate what Raila did on Friday last week and declare his support for President Kenyatta,” he said as quoted by a local daily.

Mbai noted that the former Vice President will revive his career automatically if he supports the Jubilee administration.

The MP said Ukambani will once again trust Kalonzo if he cuts links with opposition and join the government.

“The Wiper Party leader  should be wise and stop listening to dissenting voices that is advising him wrongly,” the Jubilee MP added.

He said Ukambani is now in Jubilee, adding that the region will benefit from Uhuru’s leadership.

The Jubilee MP also lauded Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu for declaring to work with Jubilee.

He said time for petty politics is over and that elected leaders must settle down and deliver services to Kenyans.

President Kenyatta's  Friday surprise meeting with Raila continues to elicit reactions with calls for Kalonzo to  ditch NASA.

Kalonzo’s Wiper Party will on Friday convene a delegates meeting to discuss its future in the NASA coalition.
