Wiper Party Leader Stephen Kalonzo has been under fierce criticism from different factions for what they term as letting down Former Prime Minister Raila Amolo Odinga at the time he needed him most. The Ukambani political kingpin has become less popular if reactions from netizens and political analysts are anything we can go by.

The Former Vice President has been considered a watermelon for years and yesterday the tag came back to haunt him. Kenyans, especially National Super Alliance (NASA) supporters are not ready to listen to any of his excuses for failing to take the oath of office as planned. Kalonzo has, however, maintained that he is still a strong member of the alliance.

"We talked with my colleagues Musalia Mudavadi and Moses Wetangula, and when it was clear we couldn’t make it, we asked Raila to proceed, we are very united. Jubilee remains illegitimate government, and we will do everything possible to get electoral justice," he stated.

The absence of Kalonzo from the event has made him lose the hearts of many of his supporters. The Former Vice President will have an uphill task convincing his supporters that he is brave to take an oath of office.
