Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has jetted back in the country from Germany ahead of NASA leader Raila Odinga’s swearing-in scheduled for early next year.
Kalonzo arrived into the country on Wednesday morning alongside his wife Pauline Musyoka who has been receiving specialized treatment in Germany.
Kalonzo’s return is a big boost for NASA which insists that it will swear in Raila Odinga as the people’s president in an event planned for early next year.
Raila has maintained that he does not recognize Uhuru Kenyatta’s government assuring his supporters that the journey to ‘Canaan’ is still on course.
The former Vice President (VP) return is expected to re-energize the push for Raila’s swearing in and revive the push for the people’s assembly.
Kalonzo left the country on October 11 after NASA presidential flag bearer Raila Odinga withdrew from the October 26 report poll.
The former Vice President had travelled to Germany to attend to his wife who was receiving specialized treatment.
The NASA deputy leader absence saw a planned swearing in for Raila Odinga on December 12 postponed to alter date.
The Wiper leader was then expected in the country on December 18 for Kitui West MP Francis Nyenze’s burial but the plane that was to fly him delayed.
Kalonzo’s absence in the country has been a political subject with some analysts claiming that he could be on his way out of NASA.
NASA leader Raila Odinga has several times denied claims that Kalonzo plans to dump him after he failed to win the presidential election.
Kalonzo will tomorrow (December 28) visit the late MP Francis Nyenze’s home in Kabati, Kitui County to condole with his family.
