[Photo: kbcenglish.co.ke]Kenya political leadership must address the situation where the winner takes it all and the loser has got nothing.Former Director General of Vision 2030 Mugo Kibati has said that the current political crisis in the country is deeply rooted and will not be addressed by the October 26 election."We must make something good out of this crisis but this time around, citizens must be involved. All citizens of this country must feel as part and parcel of the route the country decides to take so that this issue of exclusion is no more. We are not proposing a structure to serve individuals in political leadership, but rather to serve citizen," Kibati told Citizen TV's Opinion Court on Thursday evening.Kibati noted that the country has made steps towards having systems that 'help us move forward better as a nation'.On his part, Policy and Strategy Specialist Cyprian Nyamwamu said that what Kenya is lacking currently is leadership."We do not have leadership in this country. It is all about dealership. What those we have given the responsibility to lead ought to know is that one is a leader because they champion for something, not because they won an election," Nyamwamu said.He noted that many institutions are highly incompetent and lack the confidence to execute their mandate with authority. Speaking at the same time, Independent journalist Macharia Gaitho asserted that elections will not solve the current problem the country is in, as it is 'bigger than actually who wins the election'.
