Kenya does not plan to avenge Tanzania’s spate of hostility on Kenyan citizens and products.

This is according to Foreign Affairs CS Amina Mohamed.

While responding to Dar es Salaam's recent burning of chicks and auctioning of cattle from Kenya, the CS said the two countries will resolve the matter through dialogue.

“We don’t want to engage in correcting something by doing another wrong thing. Our people are watching. We highly feel these things should not have happened,” Amina said in Nairobi on Wednesday.

“When you have a tit for tat, you are perpetuating a wrong and we are not in the business of doing a wrong,” she added.

Amina added that she was in talks with her

 Dar es

Salaam counterpart to ensure there is sustainable understanding that “will not change with

happenings”.

She added that the government work to see that those affected are compensated.
