A delegation from Zambia MPs jetted into the country over the weekend to benchmark on how to fight corruption.
The trip has elicited mixed reactions among Kenyans with most describing it as 'ironical'.
The Zambian lawmakers made their first at the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission where they were hosted by top officials at the body
"We are here to learn how the EACC is managing it, bearing in mind that those who engage in corruption remain very powerful and with the mandate to look after the aspirations of the people they govern,” a Zambian MP said.
Kenyans on social media expressed their astonishment at the irony of legislators seeking to learn how to fight corruption from Kenya, a country perpetually in the news for mega corruption in government.
Here are a sample of reactions.
@samuelkimani Zambian MPs, don't you guys know, we, as Kenyans, have the capabilities of supplying a bag of AIR for 590,000 US DOLLARS. 😂😂😂😂😂
