The nation waked up to the sad news on Tuesday morning after the media run a story on the sudden demise of Nyeri county governor Wahome Gakuru.
The first time governor met his untimely death in a tragic accident while en route to attended a radio interview on Kameme FM in Nairobi, earlier reports had suggested he was battling for his life but later it was reported that he succumbed to his injuries at Thika Level 5 hospital.
President Uhuru Kenyatta has led a host of Jubilee leaders and other Kenyans in sending their condolences to the family of the late county boss.
