Kenya is a country where we have evolved into a society of morons with less regard to others.

Whether you take politicians or the normal civilian, the case is always the same as those with authority always feel the urge to trample over those below.

Our society does not listen. At the shrines, at the presidential pavilions, at opposition rallies, at home - everyone wants to be that small tyrant who is worshipped.

Those with numbers want to be worshipped as do those with wealth or position.

The case at Jamhuri High School is a manifestation that we have taken our tyranny way too far into the gates of academic institutions.

Although the management will say least about this, truth is that the students from either side rioted because they felt they were not being listened to.

And come to think of it, how do such small children even get the guts to smuggle weapons into the school?

Where does all this begin and how is it sustained through the front gear until it is executed?

The various managements of schools and other institutions including family must acknowledge the fact that dialogue solves a lot of problems in our society.

Understanding that the world is not ours alone, but a shared ground among each of us, will make us understand the need to listen and let people be what they want to be as long as it does not go against the constitution or the mutual understanding of justice.
