Photos of the National Resistance Movement (NRM) General Miguna Miguna have surfaced online, allaying fears that the opposition's NASA coalition politician could be dead.

The photos were taken when Miguna was being directed to the Kajiado Law Courts on Tuesday morning to face charges, following his arrest on Friday last week.

He was arraigned before a Magistrate in Kajiado despite an order of Justice Luka Kimaru that he be brought before the High Court by the IG and DCI.

However, the DPP said Miguna Miguna was charged in a Kajiado court and that there was no need to hold IG Joseph Boinnet and DCI boss George Kinoti in contempt of court.

While at the Kajiado court, he refused to take a plea and requested to be brought to Nairobi before Justice Kimaru.

Miguna was arrested following opposition leader Raila Odinga's swearing-in on January 30, which he administered the oath.

Opposition leaders had demanded that police should produce the politician to prove that he was indeed alive.
