Miguna is expected in the country on Monday weeks after being deported to Canada.

According to Ngure, Miguna's return is timely.

In an interview on Friday, Ngure said that Miguna is likely to pressure Jubilee government to institute electoral reforms even as President Uhuru Kenyatta and NASA leader Raila Odinga push for national unity.

He said that while Uhuru and Raila have agreed on national unity, Miguna's role will be to push for actual reforms.

"Miguna's return is a plus to NASA as it seeks to work with Jubilee on national unity reconciliation," he said.

Ngure said that Raila needs a person who can bargain and at the same time help push for change.

He said that Miguna is likely to take much space of the NASA principal's Kalonzo Musyoka, Musalia Mudavadi and Moses Wetangula moving forward.

He said that Miguna's courage and firmness on issues is what Raila and the opposition needs moving forward.

Ngure adds that Miguna will be pivotal to Raila Odinga should the former Prime Minister opt to contest in the 2022 general election.

Miguna was deported on February 6 after presiding over Raila Odinga's swearing in as the people's president on January 30.

The controversial Canadian based lawyer was deported after spending five days in police cells.

He however fought his deportation successfully with the High court declaring it illegal.

High Court Judge Luka Kiamru had ordered for Miguna's passport to be deposited in court, an order that the government complied with.

Miguna has been on a worldwide tour to market NRM ahead of his Monday return.

On Friday, Siaya senator James Orengo said all plans for Miguna's return are complete and that the self declared NRM leader will not be victimized by anyone.
