National Super Alliance (NASA) leaders have to convince voters from Mt Kenya and Rift Valley that Cord leader Raila Amolo Odinga is a good man.
Leaders affiliated to the alliance will have to pitch tents in different parts of central Kenya to win the hearts of the Gikuyu, Embu, and Meru Association (GEMA) business community.
For many years, voters from these communities have always feared Raila’s presidency. A good number of them believe that the opposition leader will be a dictator if he ascends to power when that time comes.
Raila, also Orange Democratic Movement Leader, has been very vocal when it comes to matters of national interest. He is among the leaders who fought for democracy in this county.
His firm stand on matters affecting the common mwananchi has made him be misunderstood by many. Raila is hated and loved in equal measure.
Many voters across regions believed to be Jubilee strongholds think that the former prime minister will impose an oppressive rule on them when he rises to presidency.
This country is governed by the constitution. The former prime minister has insisted that he will stick to the constitution if he is elected into power in August. There is no way this country will achieve vision 2030 if the constitution is not observed. The opposition will be assured of victory if they manage to win the support of GEMA community.
