Details have now emerged of the financial charges that the planned National Super Alliance (Nasa) presidential petition to be filed at the Supreme Court will cost.The coalition decided to proceed to the court to challenge the reelection of president Uhuru Kenyatta following the August 8 polls.However the petition will not come easy if sentiments by the chief registrar of the judicairy is anything to go by.According to Ann Amadi, the petition could run way above the basic Ksh 1.5 million depending on the kind of evidence that Nasa plans to adduce before the court." The fees is Ksh 500,000 and another Ksh 1 million being security for costs. And then depending on the kind of documents that are filed, that is if they are beyond the basic documentation then an assessment would be done but that would be nominal, but the basic figure is Ksh 1.5 million," she said.Nasa has since indicated that they have overwhelming evidence to file before the court in their bid to have president Uhuru Kenyatta's win rescinded.
