Even before he decided to break his decision to leave Nation Media Group on Thursday, there were telltale signs that celebrated Journalist Larry Madowo was working on borrowed time at the giant media house.
Madowo gave the clearest indication in February that he was headed to the exit door when he edited his Twitter account and dissociated himself with the Kimathi Street-based media house. And the exit of his Linus Kaikai further heightened speculations surrounding his future.
So what next for him? Could he be headed to Citizen TV where Kaikai is currently working as a consultant? Or could he be headed to an international media house?
Madowo has of late been a darling of the Western Media and has appeared regular commentary at CNN, Al Jazeera and BBC.
Besides that, he has been writing regular columns at Washington Post and CNN after he terminated his contract with Daily Nation. So could he be the latest Kenyan to join reputable international media house? Well, time will tell as to what future holds for the Daystar University graduate.
