Despite the fact that, Wetangula declared and even launched his presidential bid in April 2016, at Masinde Muliro grounds in Kakamega, no single Ford-K politician has come out to run for the seat as it is expected.
"His brigade within the party have blocked all candidates from contesting for the seat and that shows it is clear the certificate is reserved for the party leader," he said.
In Trans Nzoia we have four senatorial aspirants who are vying for the seat on a Ford Kenya ticket and even two in Kakamega, but Bungoma it is still a big secret," he added.
However, a response from Ford Kenya Secretary General Peter Wakhulekha state that the silence in Bungoma is because no candidate has declared an interest.
"We welcome anyone who is interested in vying for the seat since we only have one candidate for the governor seat mr Wycliffe Wangamati," he said.
