Just hours after Funyula MP Paul Otuoma was trounced by Busia Governor Sospeter Ojaamong in the ODM nominations, Nairobi based political analyst Ezra Omolo has termed the event a rock and a hard place for the orange party.
Omolo claimed that it may appear that Ojaamong won fraudulently, while Otuoma was the one deserving the ticket, a situation he terms destructing for ODM in Busia, since Otuoma may alienate the Samia and Luhya vote.
"Maintaining the 'rigged' outcome may lead to a Luhya revolt and apathy across ODM strongholds countrywide," said Omolo on his official Facebook page.
Omolo, however, has a clear strategy that he feels if ODM will adapt, their presidential candidate will harvest a basket full of votes in Busia county come August 8th.
"Nulify and negotiate, or recall Wako's direct nomination, or just give him a position of nominated senator or better still give the Samia senator, deputy governor and Women Rep position," said Omolo.
Ojaamong hails from the Teso community while Otuoma and Amos Wako hail from the Luhya community.
