Kiambu Senator Kimani Wamatangi has said that Nasa flag bearer Raila Odinga's Kiambu visit would have made more sense if he told residents whether he was going to concede defeat in case he is trounced by President Uhuru Kenyatta on August 8.

Wamatangi has said that the residents who have relatives in other parts of the country wanted to hear Raila assure them of a peaceful process and that is why the came out in big numbers.

He, however, notes that Raila could not touch on that matter because he is not ready to concede defeat.

“It is suspected that Raila is failing to talk of concession because he plans to reject the results and start inciting his supporters to cause chaos.

President Uhuru Kenyatta has publicly announced that he will concede defeat if he loses the August 8 election," said Wamatangi on Wednesday during a meet-the-people tour in Limuru town.

He added: "We want him to do the same. Many Kenyans have relatives and friends living in various parts of the county and are worried about chaos erupting."

The senator who is facing a fierce re-election challenge from Independent candidate Karungo Wa Thang'wa, said chaos erupt when leaders dispute the election results.
