Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader Raila Odinga has met with Luo Council of Elders.
During the meeting, Raila gave a way forward for the community.
Speaking to journalists from Bondo, Raila stated that the elders had agreed to put aside their differences and focus on pushing for development.
"We have held a very healthy discussion where the elders have agreed that they will speak for the community with one voice. We are determined to promote unity," he said.
Raila further stated that they would hold seminars, workshops and seminars.
"They will look at the cultural practices that need to be reformed and those that need to be retained," said Raila.
Raila further said that the elders would hold consultations with elders from other communities across the country.
