[Photo|Raila Odinga] National Super Alliance (Nasa) leader Raila Odinga, on Tuesday evening, visited the family of the slain IEBC ICT manager Chris Msando.Raila condoled with the family, saying Msando who was murdered late last month, left a heavy burden to his family, as Kenyans seek answers as to who killed him, and why.Accompanied by Siaya Senator James Orengo, Gem MP elect Elisha Akumba, Embakasi East MP elect Babu Owino, Raila found out and expressed disappointment that no IEBC official had visited Msando's family, ever since he was murdered."It's very sad that no IEBC official has visited the family ever since this whole thing came up. Nobody has come up to condole with the family," Raila said, and emphasised that justice should be done."It's a heartbreaking and unbearable pain to the young family. It is a Kenyan tragedy. No one has a right to tear at the fabric of life which another man has painfully woven for himself and his children. Msando's death has degraded our nation," noted Raila.
The widow further appealed to the government to give her answers, as to why her husband was killed.Msando went missing on July 28, only for his body to be found in Kiambu, July 31."I am unable to tell my children anything about their father. We're depending on the government to tell us the truth. We need justice," she said.A post-mortem conducted on Msando's body, the government Chief Pathologist Johansen Oduor and family pathologist Dr Bessie Byakika revealed that the deceased was tortured.Msando's requiem mass will be held on Thursday at Consolata Shrine in Westlands, ahead of his burial ceremony at his family's home at Lifunga Kobiero, in Siaya County, on Saturday August 19.
