Raila, today, met retired President Mwai Kibaki as he seeks to mend broken ties and Kenyans are already talking.

The NASA leader backed Kibaki to succeed retired President Daniel Moi in 2002, but they went separate ways after he decided to go for the nation’s top seat.

It is during their contests in 2007 that 1,300 Kenyans lost their lives to post election violence.

Kalonzo has maintained he will go for the Presidency in 2022.

Raila's moves are however, likely to complicate matters for Kalonzo in his presidential bid.

The Ukambani leader still has a long way to go.
