NASA presidential candidate Raila Odinga has finally responded to a tweet by Deputy President William Ruto.
In the tweet, Ruto claimed that Odinga was blackmailing Kenyans due to failure to win elections.
“For how long will one man, unable to win elections, continue to blackmail 45m Kenyans using threats of violence, chaos, bloodshed, and anarchy,” Ruto tweeted
In an interview with Al-Jazeera, Odinga claimed that Ruto suffers from amnesia since he has once witnessed rigging of elections.
“Ruto basically suffers from amnesia. In 2007, he was with me. He was in the frontline fighting against the rigging of the election,” Raila said.
“Mr Ruto lives in denial. Because he himself has witnessed election rigging first hand,” he added.
The Nasa leader, who is running for State House for the fourth time has maintained that the opposition might not go to the polls unless IEBC met their demands.
IEBC had announced that election date had been pushed from October 17 to 26.
