With only hours to the big day in the country on Tuesday, organizers are applying finishing touches to the whole programme.
According to latest reports, the organizers have categorized the attendees into four groups, for easier handling of guests and the public.
There will be the VVIPs, which will include the heads of state and other special guests invited by the government.
VIPs will include elected leaders and other government officials who will be present, with the other group being members of the Committee on Assumption of office of the President.
The last group of individuals includes suppliers, Members of the public and 5,000 accredited party supporters.
These groups have all been designed four entrances, which will aide movement of people in and out of the venue.
The event to swear in President Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto is set to kick off at 10 am, with the public expected to sit by 8 am.
With there being no handing of instruments of power as was the case in 2013, the exercise is set to take considerable time.
According to the organizing committee chair Chief of Staff Joseph Kinyua, plans are underway to ensure everyone is safe, including the over 20 heads of state.
“We expect many leaders from the region and across the globe to be in attendance. We call on all Kenyans to turn up in large numbers too. This is their day,” said Kinyua, decline to name the over 20 heads of state and government expected in Nairobi, citing security concerns.
