During his 2015 official visit towards the end of his tenure as President, Obama skipped touring his rural village in Siaya County, a move that never went well with the villagers who were anxiously waiting for their famous son.

To K'Ogelo villagers, Obama is many things: a role model; a black man succeeding in a white man's land.. So what will happen when he finally sets his foot into that village he last visited in 2006?

Well, though he may  not be as powerful as he was in 2015, Obama's visit will no doubt excite the villagers and bring operations there to a stand still. Businesses will boom..All merchandise bearing Obama's portrait will be sold. Security? It will be heavier than it was 12 years ago considering that Obama was at one time the most powerful man on the planet.

Just like in 2006, Obama would wish to freely mingle with locals but the heavy presence of security may not allow that.

Being the greatest son of the soil, the former President may participate in the launch of various initiatives and also plant a tree in memory of his visit.

Then there is Mama Sarah Obama, the famous grandma of the former US Senator and President. Showing undying love for her grandson who has elevated her name, Mama Sarah Obama will be very happy to meet him.
