Madina is currently pursuing a Master of Business degree at a Mombasa university campus. Mutua’s wife studied front office, tourism and hospitality at the University of Nairobi. Mutua and Uhuru's wife have been on the forefront when it comes to Beyond Zero campaigns. The two have been won different awards for the same.

The three have been supportive of their husbands in different ways. Although Joho’s wife is not common in public, she has been spotted with Senator Omar Hassan’s wife and Mombasa Deputy Governor Hazel Katana. Katana parted ways with Joho after she accused him of frustrating her for several months.
