First Lady Margaret Kenyatta, Deputy president's wife Rachel Ruto and Rila Odinga's wife Ida have one thing in common.
They are all teachers by profession.
Ida met the father of her children engineer Raila Amolo Odinga, at the University of Nairobi, where she was pursuing her undergraduate degree in Education.
On the other hand, Ruto’s wife, Rachel, graduated from Kenyatta University with a Bachelor’s degree in Education in the 1990s. The president’s wife Margaret, is a Bachelor of Education graduate from Kenyatta University.
The three ladies are not keen of being in the public eye. They have generally shielded their personal lives from the media. They are however known to defend their spouses wen need arises.
The wives of the three leaders have played immense roles in their husbands' lives in different capacities.
