With over 300,000 registered voters in Busia county, President Uhuru Kenyatta only managed to garner 21,000 votes.In Budalangi constituency where Ababu Namwamba was the former MP, Uhuru obtained 8,570 votes out of 38,417 total number of registered voters.Namwamba was ODM's secretary general and a strong supporter of opposition keader Raila Odinga before he defected to and decided to support Kenyatta's re-election.In Funyula constituency where Paul Otuoma was the former MP, the president got 5,303 votes out of 44,671 total number of registered voters.Otuoma dumped Raila for Uhuru after he was defeated by ODM governor Sospeter Ojamoong in the August 8 polls.The president garnered 3,280 votes in Teso North constituency and 839 votes in Nambale.In Matayos subcounty, Uhuru obtained 2,686 votes while in Butula he got 358.In Teso South subcounty, Uhuru go nil votes after voters failed to turn up for fear of their lives.
