President Uhuru Kenyatta now wants outgoing Bomet Governor Isaac Rutto to ditch NASA for Jubilee administration.
A critic of Jubilee, Rutto lost his seat to outgoing Sotik MP Joyce Laboso who also doubled as National assembly Deputy Speaker.
In Bomet on Tuesday, Uhuru said Governor Rutto’s political career depends on his next move adding that Jubilee should be his next destination.
“I am really happy that such a transformation is happening in peace. Rutto is our friend and I think his future should be in Jubilee.
“I am challenging him to join us because that s the only way to go. We may have worked differently but time has come for us to work together,” he added.
Despite Rutto supporting opposition leader Raila Odinga, he had issues with DP William Ruto who he accused of bullying.
His Chama Cha Mashinani party failed to secure parliamentary seats in its South Rift stronghold despite showing signs of strength.
