President Uhuru Kenyatta has is planning other activities instead of attending the planned presidential debate.
The president said that on the said day, he will hold a televised meeting at City Hall to wrap up his campaigns.
According to the Star, Uhuru will use the platform as substitute for the debate which he has refused to attend.
State House is yet to confirm the date of the meeting.
However, the Star has reported that the President targets engaging Kenyans directly.
“The President is not interested in a competition of words with his competitors. He wants to answer questions directly like he did at the Jubilee Party manifesto launch,” said a highly-placed JP source as quoted by the paper.
“Other than the questions from the audience, the two Jubilee chiefs will also take questions sent through SMS and others sent via social media platforms,” another source said.
