The family at the top is not always involved in politics.
If you doubt this, you may want to know what President Uhuru Kenyatta's niece Nana Gecaga is planning for local artistes.
The KICC CEO is organising an event that will give opportunity to Kenyan artistes in Nairobi to showcase their talent at the country's leading conference centre.
Gecaga will be doing this as part of her long-term initiative of supporting the growing creative art industry.
The move is also part of a strategy to attract tourists into appreciating Kenya’s creative industry that has shown the potential to blossom into a major tourist attraction.
The event will see over 200 local artists exhibit and sell their works for free at the premise.
The ‘KICC Mini-Art Gallery’ will also give the artistes the opportunity to showcase their art that includes paintings, illustrations, photographs, drawings, sketches and mosaics among others.
